HISTORY: Rosa Parks House in Berlin Returns Home to America

In a backyard in Berlin, a ramshackle house that was once a haven for the civil rights pioneer Rosa Parks is preparing for its third life — back in the United States. It had almost been lost to history, falling into blight, abuse and foreclosure, in Detroit. But in 2016, the American artist Ryan Mendoza shipped the dismantled facade in two containers to his home in Germany. There, it was restored as an art exhibit in his garden in the Wedding neighborhood.

‘Black Love’ is a Ratings Winner for OWN Network; Debuts in Regular Timeslot Tonight

‘Black Love’ is winning. The four-episode documentary featuring a host of celebrity couples talking honestly about marriage’s ups and down debuted to the highest ratings ever for unscripted shows on OWN. The network has ordered more episodes of the hit docu-series which debuted Tuesday with 1.2 million total viewers. Additionally, the premiere of “Black Love” was the #2 most social primetime episode on national cable.

In response to the recent events in their hometown of Charlottesville, VA, Dave Matthews Band will host an evening of music and unity that will be FREE for members of the Charlottesville and University of Virginia communities through an online request process. The event - produced by Live Nation, Starr Hill Presents and the University of Virginia - will take place on Sunday, September 24, at UVA's Scott Stadium in Charlottesville.

Team of Pharmacists in Fully-Functional Pharmacy Trailer Serving Evacuees as part of Kroger’s Harvey Outreach efforts

Kroger’s Mobile Pharmacy Trailer is on-site at the George R. Brown Convention Center to serve displaced Houston families affected by Hurricane Harvey. Hundreds of guests each day are having prescriptions filled. There are no restrictions re: the originating pharmacy--the team can fill prescriptions from any pharmacy, as well as prescriptions written by the on-site DMAT team (disaster medical assistance transport).
