Snooze, an A.M. Eatery, the all-day breakfast and brunch hotspot, will grow within the Houston community with an opening inside LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. Founded in 2006, Snooze aims to evolve breakfast dining with culinary innovation, an energetic atmosphere and friendly service. This is the restaurant’s third location in the Houston area, but first for the city of Katy. "We are thrilled to be able to bring our spin on breakfast to more guests in the Houston area,” said Snooze, an A.M. Partner Agencies Help Houston Food Bank Meet Increased Need After Harvey
The floodwaters have receded, but life is far from normal in many parts of Houston. At the Houston Food Bank, the warehouse has been operating around the clock to help those impacted by the storm. More than 19 million pounds of food has left the warehouse in the last month. That’s three times the normal monthly distribution rate. “There is incredible need out there and we do not see it slowing down any time soon,” said Greene. “Recovery will not be fast for many in our community who are, literally, starting over with nothing. We are committed to being there to help for the long haul.”

A 77-year-old Houston woman died earlier this month from a flesh-eating bacteria, which she contracted after falling into Harvey floodwaters in her home, authorities said. Nancy Reed, of the Kingwood area of northeast Houston, died on Sept. 15 of flood-related necrotizing fasciitis, more commonly referred to as flesh-eating bacteria, after she fell into contaminated flood water in her home, the Harris County medical examiner's office ruled.

METRORail Service Restored on All Lines
METRORail riders can now travel normally on all three lines. Rail service is restored and fully operational. METRO maintenance crews worked overnight and through Friday morning to make repairs to an underground power system component. The failure was discovered Thursday evening and resulted in the immediate suspension of rail service on portions of the Red, Green and Purple lines.
