By the Truckload, H-E-B will Deliver the Nutritional Snack to 16 Food Banks across Texas  

Summer break signals the end of the school year, which means even more children and families across the state will struggle with the threat of hunger. To combat the problem, H-E-B through its Food Bank Assistance Program will donate 1.5 million apples to 16 Texas food banks this week.

2021 Competition Heads into Final Judging Round

More than 800 Texans threw their hats into the ring submitting more than 1,200 products ready for the 2021 Quest for Texas Best. From books, beignets, and bottled water, to syrups, sausage and seasonings, H-E-B’s Business Development and Sourcing Managers reviewed a host of products for potential placement on H-E-B store shelves.

St. Luke’s United Methodist Church’s Adult Ministries presents former H-E-B president and now senior advisor Scott McClelland in the inaugural speaker series “Faith in Work” on Monday, Oct. 3, where he will discuss about how his own faith and career have intersected throughout his life. The speaker series is an offshoot of “Working Faith,” a new program that will launch Oct. 16, focusing on how to erase the Sunday-Monday divide when it comes to faith. The idea is for people to begin to see their careers as a way to lives their Christian faith every day, with the goal of engaging and impacting men and women throughout the Houston area, not just those who already call St. Luke’s home.

Company Recognized Outstanding Educators and School Districts with Cash Prizes and Grants Totaling $430,000

On Sunday, May 7, H-E-B announced statewide winners of the 16th annual H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards during an awards ceremony at the Hilton Hotel in Austin. During the ceremony, H-E-B Chairman and CEO Charles Butt personally handed out $430,000 in cash awards and grants, and congratulated eight educators, two school districts, one early childhood agency and a public school board for being among the best in Texas. The program has given away more than $8.5 million in cash and grants since 2002.

Mayor Sylvester Turner, along with grand marshal Grey’s Anatomy star Chandra Wilson, will jump-start the 2017 holiday season with the 68th annual H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade Thursday, November 23rd at 9 a.m. Wilson is a native Houstonian and graduate of Houston’s High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. She is a strong supporter of HSPVA, through her scholarship program, and an advocate for the City of Houston.

On Sunday, April 30, H-E-B announced statewide winners for the 21st annual H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards during an awards ceremony at the La Cantera Resort and Spa in San Antonio. During the ceremony, $430,000 in cash awards and grants were awarded to eight educators, two school districts, one early childhood school and a public-school board for being among the best in Texas. Game to be Broadcast on Bally Sports Southwest for Second Consecutive Year

Lone Star Sports & Entertainment today announced that the 2022 Battle of the Piney Woods presented by H-E-B, featuring the Sam Houston Bearkats and Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks, will kick off at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, from NRG Stadium in Houston. For the second consecutive year, a live television broadcast of the game will be provided by Bally Sports Southwest across the network’s four-state footprint, which includes Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana.
