From redesigned gas-powered favorites to cutting-edge electric vehicles, GM is driving growth faster than the industry average—which hovered around just 4%. Thanks to standouts like the Chevrolet Trax, Equinox, and Traverse, GMC Sierra and Terrain, and Buick Envista and Encore GX, the automaker hit record year-to-date crossover sales. In fact, Buick posted the largest first-half sales increase among mainstream brands—up 29%!
GM Boasts Strong Sales June 2025
💪🏽 Chevrolet clocked its best first-half performance since 2019, with the Equinox smashing records as America’s top-selling crossover. GMC also roared into 2025 with its strongest start ever, helping GM hold tight to its crown as the #1 full-size pickup brand for six straight years and #1 full-size SUV brand for an unprecedented 51 years.
⚡️ In the electric lane, GM’s EV sales more than doubled in Q2, solidifying its spot as the #2 EV seller in the U.S. Chevy even clinched the title of best-selling EV brand last quarter, while Cadillac led the luxury EV market with its highest retail market share since 2014.
🚛 Don’t forget GM Envolve, the company’s booming fleet business, which also delivered impressive growth in sales and market share during the first half.
👏🏽 As GM’s North American President Duncan Aldred puts it:
“The investments we have made in our crossovers, SUVs, and pickups – both gas and electric – have made GM the engine of growth for the U.S. industry this year.”
🔧 From innovation to execution, GM is proving it’s not just building cars—it’s building momentum.
