The heartbeat of the city’s cultural soul returns stronger than ever as the East End Street Fest electrifies Cinco de Mayo weekend with a vibrant fusion of music, food, art, and unforgettable performances. This free, family-friendly celebration is set to light up Navigation Boulevard’s iconic Esplanade on Saturday, May 3, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM—and you don’t want to miss it.

Hosted by the East End Improvement Corporation (501c3) and the East End Houston Cultural District, this year’s event promises a cultural explosion that captures the essence of Houston’s rich Latino heritage while delivering world-class entertainment with a Texas twist.  

🌟 Headlining Acts with Star Power

The 2025 lineup is nothing short of legendary. Three-time GRAMMY Award-winner Sunny Sauceda is bringing his signature Tejano accordion magic and swinging energy to the main stage. Fans can expect to groove to hits like his latest single “Womanizer,” co-written with Texas country artist Abe Mac.

Also headlining is Del Castillo, an Austin-based musical tour de force boasting 17 Austin Music Awards. Known for their electrifying blend of Latin rhythms, rock guitar riffs, and emotionally charged vocals, Del Castillo’s sound has traveled the globe—and even made it onto major film soundtracks including Kill Bill Vol. II and Once Upon a Time in Mexico.

💃 Culture in Motion: From Cumbia to Circus Arts

Music is only the beginning. The festival will feature:

Cumbia Nights by Wonky Power – A sun-soaked dance party featuring some of the most infectious cumbia grooves curated by one of Houston’s top creative collectives.

Cirque La Vie – This mesmerizing circus troupe will dazzle with high-flying aerial performances and gravity-defying feats.

Lucha Libre by Coliseo Houston – Watch masked warriors leap, flip, and fly through the air in epic wrestling matches packed with action and flair.

🛍️ A Marketplace of Flavor & Creativity

More than 30 local vendors will showcase delicious bites, handcrafted goods, and authentic artisan wares. Visitors can indulge in everything from tacos and tamales to handcrafted jewelry and vibrant art pieces. Multiple themed plazas will offer interactive activities for children, cultural showcases, and traditional dance performances, making it a full day of discovery for all ages.

Since its inception in 2012, the East End Street Fest has become a cornerstone celebration of Houston’s historic East End, an area rich with Latino heritage and dynamic creativity. Each year, the festival draws thousands of attendees eager to celebrate the community’s diversity and resilience through rhythm, sabor, and storytelling.
