A 2016 homeschool graduate, Scott credits his Alvin upbringing with laying the foundation for his military success. “Growing up in Alvin, Texas, really shaped my Navy career,” Scott shared. “The small-town values of hard work, community and perseverance were instilled in me early on, and those lessons have helped me stay focused and driven as I’ve progressed in the Navy.”

Stennis—a floating city that stretches over 1,000 feet and houses thousands of sailors—requires discipline, resilience, and a strong sense of teamwork. It’s a lifestyle Scott says reflects the values he’s carried with him from the Lone Star State.

As a retail services specialist, Scott supports shipboard operations by managing the supply and distribution of goods—an essential role that keeps morale high and daily life running smoothly for the ship’s crew.
