Scheduled for Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the Herman Park Golf Course, this highly anticipated tournament is more than just a day on the fairway—it’s a powerful initiative aimed at uplifting the next generation of student-athletes.
Under the banner “Teeing Off a Better Tomorrow,” the event will directly benefit Texas Southern University and Prairie View A&M University golf programs. Through the Big Chef Bowie Cares Foundation, proceeds will help provide scholarships, state-of-the-art equipment, and enhanced training resources—ensuring young golfers have the support they need to excel both academically and athletically.

Set against the lush backdrop of Herman Park Golf Course at 2155 N MacGregor Way, the tournament promises an exciting 18-hole challenge on a par-70, 6,014-yard course. Participants of all skill levels will navigate tree-lined fairways, water hazards, and strategically placed bunkers—all while vying for top honors and exclusive prizes!
The day kicks off at 6:00 a.m. with player check-in, breakfast, and warm-up sessions at the practice range. The official shotgun start takes place at 8:00 a.m., launching a competitive yet camaraderie-filled event featuring thrilling Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin contests.

But the excitement doesn’t end on the course. The awards luncheon at 1:30 p.m. will recognize standout performances while bringing together golfers, business leaders, and hospitality industry professionals.
Adding a flavorful twist to the event, the 19th Hole Networking Mixer at Bar 5015 (5015 Almeda Rd.) from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. will feature an exclusive tasting experience. Attendees will savor a selection of Houston’s finest culinary creations, curated by some of the city’s top chefs and restaurants—a perfect way to toast to a successful tournament and its impactful mission.
