Alley Theatre Unveils Exciting 2024-25 Season: Classic Works, World Premieres, and Unforgettable Thrills Await!

Get ready for a season of theatrical brilliance as the Tony Award®-winning Alley Theatre, under the guidance of Artistic Director Rob Melrose, announces its captivating lineup for the 2024-25 season. From timeless classics to exhilarating new works, Houston audiences are in for a treat with an array of productions designed to inspire, entertain, and enthrall.

“We are thrilled to present 11 extraordinary shows in our upcoming season,” shares Alley Theatre Artistic Director Rob Melrose. “From beloved classics like The Glass Menagerie and Noël Coward’s Private Lives to gripping mysteries and side-splitting comedies, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Our Resident Acting Company, along with our talented designers and production staff, are dedicated to delivering exceptional performances that will leave our audience spellbound.”

Kicking off the season is the Summer Chills production of Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None, directed by Elizabeth Williamson, offering suspense and intrigue from July 19 to August 25, 2024, in the Hubbard Theatre.

Next, prepare for laughter and chaos with the iconic comedy Noises Off by Michael Frayn, directed by Associate Artistic Director Brandon Weinbrenner, running from September 27 to October 27, 2024, in the Hubbard Theatre.

Experience the power of love and grief in The Janeiad by Anna Ziegler, directed by Artistic Director Rob Melrose, gracing the Neuhaus Theatre from October 11 to November 3, 2024.

In the new year, embark on a romantic journey with December: a love years in the making by Marisela Treviño Orta, directed by Marcela Lorca, running from January 17 to February 2, 2025, in the Hubbard Theatre.

Seared by Theresa Rebeck brings a spicy comedy to the stage, directed by Associate Artistic Director Brandon Weinbrenner, from February 7 to March 2, 2025, in the Neuhaus Theatre.

Prepare to be moved by the American classic The Glass Menagerie, written by Tennessee Williams and directed by Artistic Director Rob Melrose, running from February 21 to March 16, 2025, in the Hubbard Theatre.

Experience a playful twist on a classic tale with Ken Ludwig’s Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery, directed by Eleanor Holdridge, from April 4 to April 27, 2025, in the Hubbard Theatre.

Delve into the tender-hearted Primary Trust by Eboni Booth, directed by Niegel Smith, from May 2 to May 25, 2025, in the Neuhaus Theatre.

Closing out the season is Noël Coward’s Private Lives, reimagined in 1930s Argentina and directed by KJ Sanchez, from May 23 to June 15, 2025, in the Hubbard Theatre.
