National Take the Stairs Day: Dallas Residents Step Up for Clean Air And Healthy Lungs in 2024

American Lung Association encourages Texas residents to take the stairs and then support lung health by signing up for the Fight For Air Climb

Tomorrow on Wednesday, January 10 is National Take the Stairs Day, and the American Lung Association in Texas is challenging people in Dallas to take the stairs for clean air and healthy lungs, and then support lung health by registering for the Fight For Air Climb at Reunion Tower.

National Take the Stairs Day is an annual observance on the second Wednesday of January that gives Americans an opportunity to adopt healthy routines like taking the stairs. Stair climbing is a great way to burn calories but is also a simple way to improve your overall health.

“Many people make resolutions to adopt healthier habits in the New Year, so National Take the Stairs Day is a fantastic way to kick off those goals as well as exercise your lungs! We would also like to invite Texas residents to take it a step further and join us for our Fight For Air Climb at Reunion Tower on April 27th,” said Charlotte Maffia, Executive Director for the Lung Association.

The Lung Association encourages residents to take the stairs on National Take the Stairs Day, and then sign up for the Fight For Air Climb to tackle the stairs of Reunion Tower on April 27th. Joining the Fight For Air Climb supports the work of the Lung Association to defeat lung cancer, champion clean air for all, improve the quality of life for those living with lung disease and their families, and create a tobacco-free future. Hundreds of local residents, including teams of competing firefighters, come together for this fun and exciting event!
