KREWE de HOU Inaugural Mardi Gras Ball - February 3, 2024

The inaugural KREWE de HOU Mardi Gras Ball, presented by KREWE de HOU Foundation is scheduled for Saturday, February 3 at the JW Marriott by the Galleria in Houston. This first ever Mardi Gras ball will boast entertainment, a Mardi Gras program, the presentation of the 2024 Mardi Gras court, crowning of the 2024 King and Queen and scholarship presentations. Attendees will dance the night away with DJ Supa Dave, from Lafayette, Louisiana while also enjoying hors d’oeuvres and an open bar.

The 2024 KREWE de HOU Mardi Gras ball is the first ball for the KREWE de HOU Foundation and one of the first Mardi Gras balls to take place in the City of Houston. KREWE de HOU Foundation is a non-profit organization, that was created by a group of Houston friends, with Louisiana roots. The mission of KREWE de HOU is not only to bring Mardi Gras to Houston, but to also provide college scholarships to deserving local students who otherwise may not have the means to go to college. A portion of the proceeds for ticket sales to the KREWE de HOU Mardi Gras ball will help fund these scholarships.

“We are thrilled to be able to give back to the local community by presenting scholarships to well deserving high school students,” said Sarah Derouen, President, KREWE de HOU Foundation. “Bringing a taste of Mardi Gras to the City of Houston has been a goal of ours for a long time and we can’t wait to bring our vision to life at one of Houston’s first Mardi Gras balls.”

Doors will open at 6 p.m., followed by cocktails at 7 p.m., the Mardi Gras program with live entertainment will begin at 8 p.m. followed by dancing throughout the rest of the evening.
