"Over the past year, the Republican Majority used Congress to serve the interests of Donald Trump and his corporate, billionaire cronies," said Raskin in a statement released on December 30, 2024. "They squandered taxpayer dollars on a sham impeachment based on Russian propaganda while ignoring the epidemic of gun violence, the devastating effects of extreme weather caused by climate change, and stripping Americans of civil rights, including access to reproductive health care."
