On Saturday, January 25, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Fort Bend County Libraries invites families to immerse themselves in vibrant cultural activities, captivating performances, and hands-on crafts—perfect for all ages!
🎭 A Show-Stopping Celebration
Don’t miss the Katy Kung Fu Lion Dance Team’s energetic performance at 2:30 PM in the library lobby. These dancing lions, brought to life by the USA Shaolin Xiu Culture Center, are always a crowd favorite and a hallmark of this annual celebration!
🎶 Traditional Tunes, Modern Magic
Experience the enchanting sounds of the North American Youth Chinese Orchestra as they perform a mix of traditional Chinese music on instruments like the pipa, guzheng, and zhong ruan, alongside classics on violin and flute.
🧩 Lantern Riddles & Prizes
Test your wits with Cai Deng Mi (Guessing the Lantern’s Riddle). Solve fun puzzles like, “What building has the most stories?” to win prizes and bragging rights!
🎨 Craft Your Own Lantern
Kids can unleash their creativity in the Youth Department, where they’ll craft personalized paper lanterns to take home as keepsakes.
