A Tony Award®-winning force of nature, Warren will grace the intimate Zilkha Hall with her unparalleled blend of powerhouse vocals, captivating stage presence, and storytelling magic.

This one-night-only performance promises an up-close-and-personal experience with a star who has redefined the meaning of a “triple threat.” Tickets, starting at just $42.40, are already on sale at TheHobbyCenter.org, and with the buzz surrounding this event, they’re bound to sell fast.

A Broadway Legend in the Making

Adrienne Warren became a household name with her Tony Award®-winning portrayal of the indomitable Tina Turner in Tina: The Tina Turner Musical. Not only did Warren embody the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s voice and moves with uncanny precision, but she also captured Tina’s unbreakable spirit, earning accolades from critics and audiences alike. The New York Times lauded her as a “star-making” talent, while Rolling Stone called her performance “electrifying.”

But Warren’s brilliance doesn’t stop there. She earned her first Tony nomination for her dynamic role in Shuffle Along alongside Broadway legend Audra McDonald and has wowed audiences in productions like Dreamgirls, The Wiz at Encores! City Center, and Bring It On: The Musical. Beyond Broadway, she has performed at Carnegie Hall, graced PBS’s A Capitol Fourth with a tribute to Tina Turner, and made her mark in film and television with roles in Quantico, Orange is the New Black, and Netflix’s upcoming Rustin.

And if her concert at the Hobby Center isn’t enough to satisfy her fans, Warren is set to star alongside Nick Jonas in the much-anticipated Broadway revival of The Last Five Years this spring. The show, directed by Tony nominee Whitney White, will be the musical’s first-ever Broadway run, cementing Warren’s status as one of theater’s most versatile and sought-after talents.

Beyond Broadway: Houston’s Window to World-Class Talent

The Beyond Broadway series has revolutionized how Houstonians experience the magic of musical theater. By bringing Broadway’s brightest stars to more intimate spaces, the Hobby Center ensures a connection that feels personal, immediate, and unforgettable. According to Hobby Center President and CEO Mark Folkes, Warren’s return is a direct response to the audience’s overwhelming enthusiasm following her stunning performance at the Center’s 2024 fundraiser.

“When Adrienne performs, she doesn’t just sing,” Folkes said. “She shares. She has a way of drawing you in, making you feel like she’s telling your story.”

The 2024-25 Beyond Broadway season kicked off with Cheyenne Jackson in October and continues with Adrienne Warren in February. Fans can also look forward to another Broadway icon, Sutton Foster, on April 4.
