Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa Provides Exclusive Getaway Experience at Sunday House Cottage
Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa, the premier Texas Hill Country resort located on 300 acres in San Antonio, provides an exclusive getaway experience at its on-site Sunday House. The standalone cottage provides private accommodations separated from the main resort and features all of the comforts of home.
“Our on-site Sunday House not only pays homage to the history of our resort as a working cattle ranch, but also provides a one-of-a-kind travel experience here in the beautiful Hill Country,” said Stephen J. Smith, General Manager at Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa. “When guests stay at the Sunday House, they can enjoy a private getaway that feels like home, with everything from a full kitchen to a private backyard, while still being just steps away from the incredible amenities of the resort.”
Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa is designed around the living history of its location which served as the site of the Rogers Wiseman cattle ranch beginning in the late 1800s. At that time, Central Texas farmers lived in remote areas that made it difficult to take a quick trip into town. Families would leave their farm on Saturday mornings to take care of shopping and other business in town, and stay overnight in their Sunday House before attending church and heading back the next day.
Reminiscent of a traditional Hill Country ranch house, the Sunday House provides spacious accommodations for up to six guests with a master bedroom featuring a king bed, and a second bedroom with two double beds. It also showcases a large living room, full kitchen, a cozy fireplace, a private covered back patio outfitted with wooden rocking chairs and a BBQ, and a back yard enclosed by a white picket fence. Guests of the Sunday House have personal access to a resort golf cart, as well as access to Windflower Spa’s heated outdoor pool located next door.
Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa is home to an award-winning five-acre water park which features a 950-foot lazy river, a FlowRider wave simulation machine, a two-story water slide and four pools. Guests can enjoy the outdoors with walking trails that explore the lush Hill Country scenery, bicycle rentals, and multiple oversized fire pits ideal for roasting marshmallows or enjoying an after-dinner cocktail under the stars. The resort also features luxurious treatments at its Windflower Spa, championship golf at the 27-hole Hill Country Golf Club, and delicious local cuisine at its signature restaurant Antlers Lodge.
