When do Texans prefer to put up Christmas lights? Our survey has the answer.

Holiday decorations are an important part of getting in the Christmas spirit. But there’s always a question: When is the right time to display your Christmas lights? For some, waiting until after Thanksgiving or the beginning of December is ideal. For others, why wait, as soon as the weather cools down it’s time.

With that in mind, the team at House Method has conducted a nationwide survey of 3,930 Americans asking when they plan to hang their lights and when it is too early for Christmas decorations.

Here are some of key finding for Texas:

November, after Black Friday is the most commonly accepted answer for when Texans plan to hang up their lights.

However most respondents think December 1st is the earliest lights should be displayed.

4% of respondents surveyed said they will leave their lights up year-round.
