H-E-B Rx COVID-19 Vaccine Update

Customers who received their first dose of Covid-19 vaccine from H-E-B between 12/23 and 12/27 will be contacted by H-E-B to schedule an appointment to receive the second dose. H-E-B has requested additional allocation of vaccine from the state of Texas. Our limited allocation has either already been distributed or is scheduled to be administered. We are awaiting additional allocation of vaccine from the state of Texas so we can continue to vaccinate healthcare providers as well as begin offering vaccine to those in Phase 1B.

Once we have supply, we will activate a scheduler tool on heb.com/vaccine so people can schedule an appointment.

During this first phase of Covid-19 vaccine rollout, some H-E-B pharmacies received limited quantity of the Moderna vaccine to help vaccinate our community healthcare providers.

Many of our H-E-B Pharmacy locations are still working through wait lists for healthcare providers.

We will continue to move into vaccinating people in Phase 1B when we receive more allocation of Covid-19 vaccine from the state of Texas.

H-E-B has strong capacity to administer vaccine, however that depends on the quantity of Covid-19 vaccine allocated to us from the state of Texas.

Following the directive from the state,

identified in Phase 1B if we have doses left after prioritizing healthcare pro- viders in Phase 1A who are waiting to receive the vaccine.

Each Covid-19 Vaccine Vial Has 10 Doses.

Once opened, a vial must be used within hours.

Per the government guidelines, vaccine providers are directed to not waste doses and can provide remaining doses to people who fall within the next priority group.

An Appointment Must Be Scheduled To Receive The Covid-19 Vaccine.

Our pharmacies will not accept walk ins.

As a trusted source for all routine childhood and adult immunizations, H-E-B pharmacies will administer the Covid-19 vaccine as it becomes available, following the state of Texas distribution schedule. H-E-B is proud to continue our long-term tradition of taking care of Texans.
