Recuerdo Mezcal With and Without Gusano Comes to The US Alongside UFC "BMF" Titleholder and Partner Jorge 'Gamebred' Masvidal

Recuerdo Mezcal today announced they will be introducing their flagship Mezcals with and without Gusano to the US market, having developed a cult following amongst consumers as the top-selling Mezcal available in duty-free airport stores and one of the leading Mezcals in Mexico. Recuerdo Mezcal, known for its smoky flavor characteristic of traditional Oaxacan Mezcals, is also pleased to announce its partnership with renowned MMA and UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal. Masvidal is a longtime fan of Mezcal that fell in love with Recuerdo Mezcal the first time he tried it and is now invested in the brand's success – not only as an ambassador, but as a partner.

Recuerdo Mezcal is cooked with only certified wood over river rocks and distilled with traditional Mezcal production techniques that are honored and proven to produce the finest final spirit. The agave is sustainably harvested in Oaxaca, in a manner that ensures the preservation of the agave plant and the environment. Recuerdo Mezcal is available with Gusano for those who prefer the silky texture the agave-worm gives the liquid, as well as without the agave-worm for those who seek smoky notes with less complexity. Recuerdo Mezcal is intended to be savored not rushed, in other words sipped with besitos (Spanish for kisses).

"We're excited to offer US consumers the opportunity for a true taste of Oaxaca – every sip of Recuerdo Mezcal is as good as the last, no matter the bottle," said Saul Moise, US Commercial Director of Recuerdo Mezcal. "And to partner with a Recuerdo Mezcal enthusiast such as Jorge Masvidal is the agave-worm at the bottom of the bottle (cherries are for Manhattans and sundaes!) – each 'besito', whether with the agave-worm or without, brings a unique flavor to the table."

"I've tasted a number of Mezcals, but until Recuerdo Mezcal I hadn't found one I was willing to put my name behind – it's not only an authentic Mezcal coming from a family with three generations of entrepreneurial spirit, but it also gives back to the local Oaxaca community, and beyond that it's delicious," added celebrated MMA fighter and current UFC "BMF" Titleholder Jorge Masvidal, "There's just something about a traditional Veladora glass filled with Recuerdo Mezcal to celebrate a win… maybe I'll send a bottle to my next opponent to soften the blow(s)."

Recuerdo Mezcal will be initially available in Texas, California, and Florida – imported by González Byass USA - with plans to roll out nationwide in the coming months, at a suggested retail price of $34.99 (Joven) and $37.99 (With Gusano).
