PVAMU joins forces with H-E-B, Maestro Entrepreneur Center to offer free small business development seminars

The Small Business Development Center will host a series called “Webinar Wednesdays.”

For the next five weeks, the Small Business Development Center (SBCC) at Prairie View A&M University is offering free professional advice and resources to small business owners across Texas.

SBDC is partnering with Texas-based grocery retailer H-E-B and Maestro Entrepreneur Center, a San Antonio-based non-profit whose mission is to accelerate the growth of small businesses, to offer Webinar Wednesdays.

The one-hour sessions are held online and are free to all small business owners.

For the session on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, the focus is on funding sources. Guest speakers include

-Ruben Lopez, South-West Border Small Business Development Center Network

-Ramiro Gonzales, Westside Development Corporation

-Lloyd Wright, PVAMU, PVAMU SBDC

There will be special presentations from

-Danny Harvey, PVAMU assistant professor of finance, on how to create a grant budget

-Patrick Jefferson, Ed. D., will provide critical tips on developing a grant proposal.
