Tru Essence Cosmetic and Medical Spa will be hosting a Free Breast Cancer Awareness Event this Wednesday, October 23, 2019, from 6pm-8pm at their Downtown Houston location (1725 Main Street, Suite 2).

The event will feature a one-hour Q&A session with Dr. LaShondria Simpson-Camp, a breast surgical oncologist whose experience working with patients enduring the side effects of breast cancer treatments, prompted her to open her own cosmetic and medical spa to help survivors deal with the physical and emotional side effects of chemotherapy, radiation and surgery.

Dr. Camp will address concerns about breast cancer treatments, side effects like hair loss, dehydration, dry skin, pigment changes, and gynecological issues, along with providing education on safe options that are available to help breast cancer survivors address these side effects and lead a fuller life.

The Tru Essence Breast Cancer Awareness Event will also feature food, drinks, music by Dj Shante of 93.7 the Beat, giveaways, raffles and event-only specials! The first 12 guests to arrive will also receive a special spa goodie bag.
