Platinum Singer Ginuwine Hosts Men Against Domestic Violence Concert This Saturday

“The Ultimate Ladies Night Out Starring Christopher Williams”

According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, 94-99% of domestic violence survivors experience economic abuse. This is when an abuser controls or limits the access to shared or individual assets. By isolating the victim financially, this creates a forced dependency for the victim and other family members.

Houston’s leading production and business development organization Duval & Associates will bring greater awareness to Domestic Violence this October 26th. With the support of Grammy-nominated singer Ginuwine and American singer Christopher Williams, Duval Mitchell ends this month with entrepreneurship, awareness, and entertainment to provide the ultimate day of empowerment for women. Located at the Power Center at 12401 South Post Oak, the home-base business building conference will take place from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, followed by “Men Against Domestic Violence” Concert at 7:00 pm.

Organizer and Founder Duval Mitchell has a passion to help all women and youth start a home-based business or provide a platform to showcase their existing business. Because his mother was a victim of domestic violence, he focuses his development workshops around women to help them gain their independence.

“Many women stay in an abusive relationship because the men are the sole provider of the household,” Mitchell says. “I believe if my mom had her own passive income or business to support our family, she wouldn’t have suffered in the relationship for as long as she did.”

Sponsored by the National Home -Based Business Association, the workshop will feature over 175 side business ideas that women can start for less than $100. Attendees will gain guaranteed access on ways to earn residual income and learn time-tested strategies to produce a profitable business.

“I want to give women the power they need to provide for themselves and be successful while doing so,” Mitchell says.

R&B legends Ginuwine known for hit songs Pony and Differences along with Christopher Williams known for Everything Little U Do are in support of this movement. Both artists are known for their feel-good music that demonstrate love and praises women in their music. With lyrics like “you were that special one” and “you’re my angel” are the messages these men want to portray when celebrating women during this month.

“This is something we have to do big for Houston,” Ginuwine says.
