Four times the number of traditional Christmas trees that existed in years past, the artisan-fabricated holiday trees feature an amazing integration of lighting technology that will create a stunning multi-colored light show with 16,777,216 color possibilities across 1.7 miles of Post Oak Boulevard. Guests will also enjoy to a new pedestrian-friendly Post Oak Boulevard featuring widened sidewalks, extensive pedestrian lighting and enhanced landscaping.

At 5 PM, the Merry Holiday Stage Show features performances by local Houston entertainment including event staples Houston Concert Band, Houston Show Choir, Mixteco Ballet and A.D Players.

While enjoying the holiday performances and awaiting Santa’s arrival, guests can enjoy the uniquely designed art cars on display along the Boulevard and grab favorite holiday treats like kettle corn, funnel cakes, hot cocoa and apple cider from concession stands. A portion of all concession sales will go to event charities Be an Angel and the Houston Area Urban League.

As the excitement grows, Mrs. Claus will lead the City’s largest holiday sing-along welcoming Santa to the stage. The event culminates with a traditional countdown as Santa gives a signal to light up the new holiday trees and Houston skies with spectacular fireworks and a dazzling new light show.

The Uptown Holiday Lighting is held on Thanksgiving evening, Thursday, November 28, 2019, from 4-7 PM. The event is FREE with FREE parking available throughout the Uptown area.
