The Story of King Josiah

Feature Film a Highlight of Houston Convention

HOUSTON, TEXAS—August 18, 2019—The account of young King Josiah, found in the Bible, is a compelling story for both children and adults today. As a boy, Josiah becomes the king of Israel and almost immediately faces threats to his kingship. Does he give in to the bad influences or does he stand up for what he knows to be right? Josiah’s story is brought to life in this year’s feature film at the "Love Never Fails"! International Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Yaretzy, Arlene, and Darlene Garcia, ages 10, 8, and 5, are looking forward to seeing the film at the Houston convention. The film will do more than simply entertain the girls. It will help them deal with bullies and other pressures that children face today. Arlene comments, "In the movies and during talks we will learn that we should not be bullies or do bad things."

A good portion of the convention’s content addresses youths and how they can apply lessons from the Bible to successfully cope with peer pressure and deal with negative influences in their lives, even if those influences are in their own family.

You can preview the film by following the link below. The trailer is available in over 245 languages, and the film will be a highlight of the "Love Never Fails"! conventions of Jehovah’s Witnesses being held throughout the world.
