LISLE, Ill. – Krishan Katyal spent nearly 40 years with manufacturers of machine tools and metal machining and welding companies. He felt there should be a book that covers major topics related to metals and manufacturing, which led him to come up with “Essential Guide to Metals and Manufacturing” (published by Xlibris).
The book is intended for new owners, engineers, technicians, purchasing agents, chief operating officers, finance managers, quality control managers, sales managers, or other employees who want to learn and grow in metal manufacturing business.
It covers topics on basic metals, their selection, major producers and suppliers’ websites, manufacturing processes, machining and finishing processes and equipment suppliers’ websites, automation equipment information and websites of their suppliers, information about engineering drawings and quality control as well as lists of sources of trade magazines.
Katyal hopes that the subjects discussed in the book and the listed websites will help the readers to develop a greater understanding of metals and manufacturing methods as well as help readers in contributing and improving the enterprise they choose.
