Astros Return for Promo-Packed 10-Game Homestand

Introducing Original Thirsty Thursday with half price draft beer every Thursday home game!

HOUSTON, TX – The Astros will return from their longest road trip of the season and continue to battle for the best record in the American League this week. Tomorrow starts a 10-game homestand packed with fan-favorite promotions and events, including a 2005 NL Champions Biggio Replica Ring (Aug. 19), a No-Hitter Poster Giveaway (Aug. 20), two bobblehead giveaways, Dog Day (Aug. 25), Players’ Weekend and more! Tickets are still available and start at only $9 for select games.

Fans can secure potential 2019 Postseason tickets by purchasing 2020 Season Tickets, available now by emailing

TICKET AND GATE ENTRY POLICIES

As a reminder regarding tickets, all fans must either have their printed tickets in hand or utilize the MLB Ballpark App on their mobile devices to access Minute Maid Park and any Astros Street Fests. PDFs, screenshots or any photos of tickets on a mobile device will NOT be accepted, and the Astros will not be able to print tickets on-site.

As a part of the Astros ongoing commitment to the safety of all fans and in compliance with Astros security policies and other sports and entertainment venues around the country, there is no re-entry into the ballpark once fans are scanned in. Fans will also not be allowed to bring multi-zipper backpacks into the ballpark. Exceptions to this rule include diaper bags, single-compartment drawstring bags and other bags used for medical reasons. As usual, all bags will be searched prior to entry into the stadium.

In our continued effort to expedite entry and decrease the amount of time fans wait in line to get into the ballpark, the Astros have added a new entrance at Home Plate and increased the total amount of metal detectors at the entrances. Fans are still encouraged to arrive early, in order to avoid long lines and delays.

Monday, August 19 vs. Detroit Tigers 7:10 p.m.

Prior to Monday’s game, ALL FANS in attendance will receive a 2005 NL Champions Biggio Replica Ring, presented by Gallery Furniture, as they enter the gates. The giveaway is a replica of the rings awarded to the 2005 NL Champion Astros players. As a reminder, for all Monday - Saturday gate giveaways dates, all gates will open three (3) hours prior to First Pitch. Tuesday, August 20 vs. Detroit Tigers - 7:10 p.m.

Prior to Tuesday’s game, 10,000 fans in attendance will receive a No-Hitter Poster Giveaway, presented by Houston Area Chevy Dealers, as they enter the ballpark. Fan favorite Dollar Dog Night is Tuesday! Every Tuesday night home game is $1 Hot Dog Night presented by Nolan Ryan Beef! Fans can purchase an unlimited number of Nolan Ryan Beef hot dogs at $1 each, while supplies last (limit of four per person per concession visit).

T-Shirt Tuesday, presented by DraftKings, also takes place every Tuesday home game. The Astros Foundation and Gardner Denver will welcome Houston Fire Department Station 37, located at 7026 Stella Link Road into the Adopt-A-Fire Station program, which seeks to support local first responders and the work they do in the Houston community. The program connects Houston fire stations and Astros players. On Tuesday at 11:00 a.m., former Astros pitcher and 2019 Astros Hall of Fame inductee Shane Reynolds will present a framed jersey and visit with Houston Fire Department Station 37 first responders. Friday, August 23 vs. Los Angeles Angels 7:10 p.m.

MLB’s third annual Players’ Weekend will take place Friday, August 23 - Sunday, August 25 and for the first time at Minute Maid Park. Major League Baseball players will showcase their passions, backgrounds and interests by putting their own personal touches on what they wear and equipment they use during Players’ Weekend. Players have selected nicknames for themselves to be on the backs of their jerseys, and are given the chance to design, wear and use creatively colored and decorated equipment including bats, spikes, batting gloves, wristbands, compression sleeves and catcher’s equipment. Throughout the weekend, the Astros will wear specially designed all-white uniforms and the Angels will wear all-black uniforms. Alex Bregman has been named the Astros Players’ Weekend Ambassador. Players, clubs and fans are encouraged to use #PlayersWeekend on social media throughout the weekend.

From 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., the Astros Foundation and Baseball Tomorrow Fund will host a field maintenance clinic at Minute Maid Park for local area youth baseball and softball organizations. Media is welcome to attend from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Outfielder Josh Reddick will be honored on the field prior to the game for being named the Astros nominee for the 2019 Bob Feller Act of Valor Award, which is given annually to a MLB player who actively supports service men and women.

Throughout the season, every Friday night home game at Minute Maid Park is part of the Big and Bright Friday Nights series. A special Pregame Happy Hour, presented by Budweiser, will take place at the Budweiser Brew House. Fans can enjoy $6, 16oz Budweiser Signature Draft beer specials, a live DJ, corn hole, jenga, and more from the time gates open until 6:30 p.m. before every Friday night home game. Fans can also participate in the Friday Night Beer Crawl, presented by Budweiser, which includes four unique Minute Maid Park locations with a different beer options at each location. To cap off Big and Bright Friday Night, fans are invited to stay after the game for Friday Night Fireworks, presented by ConocoPhillips. This Friday’s fireworks will be synced to music the players elected. Upon conclusion of Friday’s game and prior to the start of Friday Night Fireworks, fans will be asked to move from the following sections for their safety and enjoyment: Home Run Alley, Escalator Tower Stairs in Center Field, Budweiser Brew House Tiers, Budweiser Batter’s Eye Bar, Torchy’s Deck, Crawford Boxes and sections 100-109, 205-208, 305-309, and 405-409. H is for Harvey, a children’s book by author Julie Beasley, will be available for purchase on the main concourse near section 154. This engaging and memorable story shows how the plight of Harvey’s victims brought out the best in Texans and in compassionate people everywhere.
