Greater Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation to Graduate Next Cohort of Emerging Leaders

The Greater Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation (GHHCCF) will graduate its newest cohort of Emerging Leaders on Thursday, August 1st. In attendance will be the graduates’ families and friends, past ELI graduates, and leaders from across the city. Keynote remarks will be given by Paul B. Murphy, Jr., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cadence Bancorporation.

“Now in its 8th year, the Emerging Leaders Institute has graduated over 200 young leaders across a variety of industries and business sectors. This year’s cohort represents young leaders in the healthcare, government, sports, oil and gas, non-profit, and banking industries, amongst many others,” said Dr. Laura G. Murillo, Founding President & CEO of the GHHCC Foundation. “ They are working for Fortune 500s, world-renowned NGOs, and impactful community health centers, and are blazing a trail for the future of the City of Houston, the State of Texas, and the nation.”

Launched in 2012, the Emerging Leaders Institute is a professional development program that identifies, develops, and empowers young leaders with less than ten years of work experience to excel in their personal and professional lives. Emerging Leaders participate in rigorous programming geared at development in the areas of professional excellence, business communication, civic engagement, and entrepreneurship, amongst others. The Emerging Leaders Institute is the premier programmatic offering of the GHHCC Foundation and is one of the foremost leadership programs in the Greater Houston region.

The 2019 Emerging Leaders Institute Cohort is brought to you by Cadence Bank.

Established in 2010 for the express purpose of expanding the education and training offered in the region, the Greater Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation (GHHCCF) seeks to develop Emerging Leaders who are representative of Houston’s demographics.

Through its trailblazing Emerging Leaders Institute, the Chamber Foundation serves as a catalyst for identifying, empowering, and furthering young Hispanic leaders. These leaders represent the future of the Hispanic community and the Greater Houston region, and the Emerging Leaders Institute program helps give them the additional tools they need to continue their trajectories.
