Auto Show Preview Night to Benefit Texas Children's Hospital and Open to the Public for First Time in 36 Years

HOUSTON (Sept. 26, 2018) - The Houston Auto Show has announced that it will open its exclusive Preview Night Gala to the public in 2019. This event, typically reserved for industry professionals and VIPs will now serve as a charitable evening benefitting Texas Children’s Cancer Center.

“Texas Children’s Cancer Center treats 91,000 cancer patients a year, therefore we plan to raise and present the hospital with $100,000 during the Houston Auto Show Preview Night Gala,” said Wyatt Wainwright, Houston Auto Show President. “Seeing the impact Texas Children’s is making in our community, and around the globe, inspired us to celebrate this evening with Houstonians to join together to help make a healthier future for children.”

The Houston Auto Show Preview Night Gala slated for January 22, 2019, at NRG Center, is the absolute first chance for guests to see more than 800 new cars and trucks while indulging in fine cocktails, cuisine and live music. This no auction, limited seating, adult only fundraising event is one of a kind. Guests will enjoy a Havana Nights theme with entertainment to match including professional dancers, cigar rollers, and even a special vehicle reveal to kick-off the gala.

Concluding Preview Night, the Houston Auto Show will open to the general public on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019 for five days, closing on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019. The Show expects to include at least 800 new and classic vehicles with the opportunity to test drive nearly 80 different models.

Gala tickets are $250 a person, of which $100 of the ticket is tax deductible. Sponsorship opportunities are still available.
