HOUSTON – March 19, 2018 – Now is the time to purchase advance tickets to the 2018 Houston Heights Association’s Spring Home & Garden Tour. The Beauty of Spring; A Glimpse Through Cherished Windows will feature five homes in the historic Houston Heights whose owners will open their doors to the public for a look inside at the result of the loving care these homes and gardens have received. From the oldest, built in 1907, to the newest, built 110 years later, each home is unique and sure to amaze all who visit.

Advance tickets to the tour are $20 each and can be purchased online at Houstonheights.org and from select Houston Heights retailers, Buchanan’s Native Plants at 611 E. 11th St. and Jubilee at 325 W. 19th St. Ticket prices will rise to $25 on the days of the tour.

Advance tickets to the event kickoff, the always exciting Candlelight Dinner & Auction, are $100 for general admission and $150 for reserved seating and are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. The “Boots, Bling & Bingo!” fundraiser will be held at the SPJST Lodge 88 at 1435 Beall St. and provide an opportunity to visit the homes on the tour in advance. The dinner and auction will feature a wine tasting, local cheeses, live music and catering by Presidio. To purchase a ticket or donate an auction item contact candlelightdinner@houstonheights.org.

On the days of the tour, tickets may be purchased at the Houston Heights Fire Station at 12th and Yale – the starting point of the tour – as well as the pre-sale ticket locations, but will not be available for purchase at the individual homes.

Accommodations will be made for those who wish to ride their bicycles from home to home. Bicycle racks will be available at each home, and a “bicycle valet” will be on hand to assist with parking and securing bikes while the home is being toured.
