Unique Food and Wine Experience Launches in Dallas

Dallas TX: Food and Wine Crawl Dallas will kick off February 17th with visits to several local restaurants and wineries. The private tour has been popular in cities like Chicago and Atlanta and hopes to replicate that success in Texas.

The idea was created by Glenn Murray while traveling to Napa in 2012 for a wine country tour. He stumbled upon what he thought was a fun idea to try in his home city of Chicago. Create the same wine tour experience in a big city setting. While Chicago didn’t share the Napa Valley landscape (or the great year- round weather) one thing it and many other major markets had was a host of great food and wine venues. That is the focus of the crawl. An upscale wine and food experience for foodies and wine lovers as well as those wanting to learn more about pairings. Combining that with chartered transportation, giving attendees tastes of popular restaurants sampling food items paired with wines and even spirits. “We wanted to ‘disrupt’ the idea of a crawl from being a drunken excursion from bar to bar more appealing casual, Saturday afternoon gourmet food and wine tour”. The events have gone viral generating over one million hits to their Facebook event pages

The inaugural crawl in Dallas has already sold out and another has been scheduled for April 28th
