Argentine promotor Fenix Entertainment is counter-suing Mariah Carey for her cancellations of shows in Argentina and Chile in October 2016. FEG is seeking $1 million in damages over the cancelled tour dates as well as $2 million for defamation over Carey's comments suggesting the shows were cancelled due to the negligence of the promoter.
