The House Committee on County Affairs that I chair met at the University of Houston - Downtown campus on Tuesday, February 6th, to hear from experts and the public regarding interim charges related to Hurricane Harvey and county authority. Additionally, the Committee discussed the implementation of Senate Bill 1849, known as the "Sandra Bland Act."
