One Month Away: 29th Annual AIDS Walk Houston and "Rock the Walk" Concert, March 4

HOUSTON, TEXAS — AIDS Foundation Houston, Inc. (AFH) hosts the 29th annual AIDS Walk Houston and “Rock the Walk” concert and finish line party on Sunday, March 4, 2018, at Sam Houston Park in Downtown Houston. This signature event—the city’s single greatest response in the fight against HIV/AIDS—raises funds that help local HIV/AIDS service organizations provide programs and services to almost 30,000 Houstonians impacted by the virus.

This year, the annual fundraiser will culminate in a free outdoor concert featuring live performances from Houston-based musicians Bun B, Paul Wall, Los Skarnales and DJ Gracie Chavez. Derrick Shore, co-host of KPRC-2’s Houston Life, and K.G. Smooth, host of The Quiet Storm on Majic 102.1 and Access Houston on 97.9 The Box, will emcee the event.

VIP wristbands for the concert will be available to 1,500 Houstonians who take a free HIV test before the Walk. Wristbands grant access to the VIP Lounge and viewing area, featuring free food from FM Kitchen and Bar and free coffee and tea from Starbucks. Details about testing sites and locations are available online at www.AIDSWalkHouston.org.
