Virtual music lesson hub Care2Rock gears up for official launch on May 3

(AUSTIN, TEXAS - April 23, 2018) - Social enterprise company and virtual music lesson hub Care2Rock announces the official launch of its website and platform on Thursday, May 3. The business is celebrating the launch during National Foster Care Month with an invite-only VIP cocktail event on the evening of May 3 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at The Townsend. The event will feature a performance by singer-songwriter and local Austin music teacher Suzanna Choffel. Though the event is private, Care2Rock is offering an invite to the launch party, a month of free music lessons and a brand new Squier Stratocaster guitar with a Wolfpak gig bag to a lucky customer who responds to this exclusive invitation by emailing info@care2rock.com with the code LAUNCH18 in the subject line by Tuesday, May 1. Care2rock will contact the winner the day before the event. Media can RSVP to the event by contacting tyler@juiceconsulting.com. For more information on the company, see www.care2rock.com. "Austin musicians have the biggest heart and have always volunteered for kids in need, but they need opportunities to earn income as well," said CEO and Founder of Care2Rock Karyn Scott. "I am truly excited to have created a platform where they can be paid a fair wage in addition to impacting communities by volunteering - it's the best of both worlds!"

"I'm so excited to be a part of this event," said Suzanna Choffel. "Care2Rock will undoubtedly have a positive effect on so many kids. As a music teacher, I know the special connection that so often happens via music and mentorship. The fact that no matter where you are or where you go, you can stay connected to the same music teacher is pretty special and I love how that aspect of the program is being used with foster children."

Care2rock.com was founded by CEO Karyn Scott and is set to become the perfect intersection of music, technology and social impact with its innovative virtual music lesson platform. The site offers a high-quality one-on-one online music lesson experience, with technology that produces superior audio and video and reduces latency. Live video lessons are direct browser-to-browser, with no downloads required, and can be recorded for future use by the student for lesson proficiency. Care2Rock teachers are hand-picked, vetted and background checked, ensuring a safe lesson experience for students of any age. Best of all, Care2rock teachers also agree to mentor a child in foster care, or a child who is hospitalized, for a minimum of one year for free. The site currently offers a variety of lessons, including guitar, piano, strings, percussion, brass, songwriting and woodwinds. The site can also add specialties in other instruments if someone makes a unique request.

Care2Rock is teaming up with Texas CASA on the launch of a new program, Computers for CASA. A recent bill championed by Texas CASA allows foster youth to receive computer equipment through the state's surplus supply. Care2Rock will be offering free lessons on the site to these Texas CASA foster children who have received computers through this program. Care2Rock hopes to eventually partner with CASA nationwide to reach more children in care.

"We are excited to revolutionize music education by offering a live video conference lesson experience like nothing else on the market for paying customers, while also bringing free music lessons to youth in foster care across the country," said Karyn Scott, CEO. "Our teachers have toured with famous artists like Kiss and Bruce Springsteen, have written and produced many hit songs, and have been finalists on American Idol. You can book and begin your lesson at the touch of a button, while helping bring lessons to a child in need who otherwise has no access to music. It is my goal to eventually reach thousands of kids in foster care - and eventually hospitals - through Care2rock.com's social impact model," said Scott. "By choosing Care2rock for you or your child's lessons, you can play a role in improving kids' lives everywhere."
