Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee Leads “No More Bloodshed Movement” Town Hall

Houston, TX –Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, a senior Member on the House Judiciary Committee and Ranking Member of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, Homeland Security, and Investigation, will lead a town hall discussion about the recent series of police shootings involving unarmed African American men. This will be a detailed presentation and will consider whether Danny Ray Thomas’s killing by the Harris County Sheriff’s Department may have been unjustified. She will also discuss alternatives to the employment of lethal force, including de-escaltion training, and the provisions of legislation she will introduce this month, the Law Enforcement Trust and Integrity Act.
