The Hispanic Health Coalition is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles among the Houston Hispanic community, especially those who have limited access to information and resources. They work continuously to diminish health disparities and increase health literacy in these communities and among their supporters. One way they bring attention to their mission is by hosting the Latino Health Summit. Being held on November 29th at the George R. Brown Convention Center, the Summit will bring together experts in the fields of health promotion, health care utilization, and health policy and advocacy with the aim of providing a discourse on strengths and challenges facing the Latino population, and advocate for solutions to enhance their health status. The theme of the summit is “The Changing Landscape of Latino Health.”
