Chef Omar Jose Pereney was the young force behind Peska Seafood Culture. He helped bring Mexican import Peska to Houston according to Eater Houston. Pereney quit Peska in February of this year, when the restaurant rebranded itself into a Tex-Mex spot. Now the Chef is suing the restaurant because they won’t let him out of his noncompete contract and they won’t give him his likeness back. Lawyers representing Peska believes the suit is without merit.
