Pusha T Has Helped Inspire Kanye West To Write During Wyoming Sessions

Wyoming is looking a lot like Hawaii.

Pusha T played an important role in the Hawaii sessions that produced Kanye West's 2010 classic My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, and he's present yet again for West's mysterious Wyoming getaway. According to Page Six, Kanye has put himself in isolation in order to tap into a "creative groove" for his new music; a groove that Pusha is helping him to find and maintain.

"Pusha T has been visiting. He inspires Kanye to write," reports one source. "Kanye’s trying to find his creative voice again, and he has people there to help him get, and stay, on track. He’s still a little off and is trying to get himself back." While Kanye was hospitalized for "exhaustion" last year, another source suggests that the Wyoming sessions are not an attempt to break out of a rut, but a collaborative gathering akin to those from Ye's previous albums. In other words, this shouldn't be framed as the bounce back from an alleged "meltdown."

"That’s his pattern. It’s what he always does. He goes away. He’s done Hawaii, Mexico, Paris, Malibu," says the source. "It’s what he’s always done. He’s not in some ‘struggle’ to find his creative voice. Any creative endeavor he’s done, there’s a start to the process and he wants to figure out what he talks about. It’s a creative journey every time and he starts from scratch."

Earlier this month, Kanye deactivated his Twitter and Instagram accounts, yet another indication that he's dropping all distractions to focus on his next album.

Pusha T, who is both the president of Kanye's GOOD Music and one of its artists, is also working on music of his own. He was recently spotted in the studio with Zaytoven.
