Photography by Vicky Pink - Mayor Sylvester Turner held a press conference about the Coronavirus and Houston’s plan to address it. He said the health risk from COVID-19 remains low for Houstonians. He also spoke about how public health experts indicate there is no need for the general public to avoid large gatherings in Houston. He further explained why the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo would continue which was that the rodeo is primarily a regional event with attendees from the Houston area, where there is currently no community spread of COVID-19.
