Photography by Amir Pink - More than a dozen leaders, mentors, entrepreneurs and professionals gathered for Houston Association of Black Journalists’ The Black Male Media Project. This hands-on event aimed to guide and encourage local teens of color. This is the third year for this program that is a National Association of Black Journalists initiative. The young men learned how to dress for success and tie a tie in addition to learning how to conduct themselves during a job interview, open a bank account, network and much more. Some in attendance were Isiah Carey, Jonathan Martin, Khambrel Marshall, Brandon Walker, Chauncey Glover, Dale Lockett, Shanon Lanier, Sgt. Jeff McGowen, Dr. Leartis Lister, John Cruise, Richard Evans, Freddie Willis, Kevin Lightfoot, and Tyrone Willis.
