Photography by Vicky Pink - The shocker was on Judge Dinette Burney as family and friends gathered for a surprise birthday celebration in her honor. A stun Judge Burney was both grateful and astonished by all the fuss over her birthday. The 78 year old blew out all the candles on her yellow and white decorated cake. Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee presented Judge Burney with an American Flag in a special presentation. Some serving on the host committee were Laura Rous eve Allen, Council Member Dwight Boykin’s, Sylvia Brooks, The Honorable Sharon Burney, Linda Kay Brown, Cindy Clifford, Alginate Scott Davis, James Douglas, Sydney Paul, Renee Logan’s, Gerald Womack, and Constable Mae Walker.
