The Women of "Crossroads"

Photography by Vicky Pink -
In December 2017, the last episode of “Crossroads,” the public affairs program that has been critically important in disseminating important information and issues relevant to the African American community for over 40 years, was cancelled by KTRK-TV, Channel 13. As a part of Women’s History Month, The Houston Museum of African American Culture hosted an affair to salute “Crossroads” and the women responsible for it including Claudette Sims, Linda Brown, Regina Hall, and, host, Melanie Lawson. A panel discussion regarding the relevance of the program to our community was held with Melanie Lawson, Linda Brown, and John Guess.
