Mayor-Elect Sylvester Turner’s Pre-Inaugural Celebration

Photography by Vicky Pink - On Sunday, January 3, 2016, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at Market Square for Mayor-Elect Sylvester Turner’s Pre-Inaugural Celebration. Live music, entertainment, food trucks, and fireworks finale kicked off the new administration for the free to the public event. Ernest Walker Band, Jason Allen, Mary Griffin, David Delagarza, Chris Walker, Charles Walker, J. Paul and the Zydeco Nubreeds, Stacy J. and Unified Praise provided entertainment throughout the event. Cindy Clifford, Chair; Willie Alexander, Vice-Chair; Ron Franklin & Janet Gurwitch, Zafir “Zaf” Tahir, Janice Weaver, Jonathan Zadok, Fred & Kay Zeidman and the Honorary Inaugural Committee U.S. Representative Sheila Jackson Lee, Texas State Senator John Whitmire, Texas State Representative Ana Hernandez and Tammy Tran all made up Mayor-Elect Turner’s inaugural committee.
