The Missouri City Links' Celebrating Jewels in the Community Umbrella Awards

Photography by Vicky Pink - On Saturday, May 2, 2015, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Houstonian Hotel for the Celebrating Jewels in the Community Inaugural Umbrella Awards hosted by The Missouri City (TX) Chapter of The Links, Inc. Gina Gatson Elie emceed the affair that honored Margot J. Copeland, Selven O. Jarmon, Cherie Singleton, Kim Hansen, Gerald B. Smith, Major Jones, Dr. Nana E. Coleman, Carol L. Watson, Bob Devlin, and Neiman Marcus for their superior contributions and achievements in one of The Links’ five program facets. The honorees gifts help the members to make impact in the lives of community. Some in attendance were the Chapter President Carolyn Guess, The Choice Foundation, Inc. President Sharon Owens, Yava Scott, Anita Smith, Judge Vanessa Gilmore, Ursula Hall, Cindy Clifford, Miya Shay, Mary Benton, Genora Boykins, Erma Kendricks, Karen Grays, Dr. Mattelia B. Grays, Mario Elie, Judge Clarease Rankin Yates, Yolanda Green, Merele Yarborough, Bryce Kennard, Jackie Pope, Argentina James, Rhonda Arnold, Dr. Rhea Lawson, Dr. Polly Sparks Turner, Shawntell McWilliams, Winell Herron, Deidra Fontaine, Barbara Symour, Dr. Rod Paige, City Councilman Jack Chrisie, Wondy Westin, Willie Mae Evans, and Connie Cochran.
