AKA - Alpha Kappa Omega Chapter Debutante Ball

Photography by Vicky Pink - On Sunday, July 12, 2015, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Wortham Center for the 2015 Debutante Ball presented by the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. – Alpha Kappa Omega Chapter. Under the theme “Les Perles de la Saison,” twenty debutantes were presented to society in grand fashion. Debutantes Kaela McFolling and Taylor Mitchell were named Miss Cotillion and both received scholarships along with Debutantes Christine Gooden and Keturah Crease. Debutantes Falyn Page, Christine Gooden, and Chaya Oliver were recognized as essay winners. Former KTRK reporter Laura Whitley and KPRC’s Keith Garvin presented the debutantes. Some in attendance were LaDonna Harris, Autumn Kyles, Mattelia B. Grays, Faye B. Bryant, Staci Fullmighter, Wondy Weston, Karen Aubrey, Polly Sparks Turner, Lillian Bourgeois, and Shanedria Wagner.
