2015 UNCF Empower Me Tour

On Saturday, January 24, 2015, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at Texas Southern University as the UNCF Empower Me Tour presented by Wells Fargo made its stop in Houston. The free, traveling college- and career-readiness road show featured television entertainers Joyful Drake and Lance Gross. Celebrating its seventh year, the UNCF Empower Me Tour was created in partnership with Wells Fargo to prepare students to go to and through college and inspire them to take control of their future by using education as the foundation for achieving their goals and dreams. Some in attendance were Juana Collins, Julie T. Fitzpatrick, Dr. John Rudley, Dr. Kimberly Brown, 1st Lieutenant Kanika Childers, Terrance Bolton, Kyle Walcott, Adria Green, Denise Miles, Cary Yates, Jeff Webber, Byrce Kennard, Cindy Best, Captain Phillip Tate, John Stewart, Valeisha Butterfield Jones, Judge Clarease Yates, and Dr. Alex O. Ellis.
