Sylvester Turner’s Runoff Election Night Party

Photography by Vicky Pink - On Saturday, December 12, 2015, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the George R. Brown Convention Center for Sylvester Turner’s Runoff Election Night Party. Supporters, volunteers, and staffers packed the center with high expectations that Turner would be the victor by the end of the night. As the elections results were tallied they were not disappointed. Turner defeated opponent Bill King to be Houston’s next mayor. Some in attendance were Mayor Annise Parker, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Congressman Al Green, Adrian Garcia, Carl Davis, Sue Davis, Linda K. Brown, Deavra Daughtry, Bishop James Dixon, Terry Williams, Rhonda Skillern-Jones, Mary Benton, Zoe Cadore, Mark Thierry and Cindy Clifford.
