Health & Wellness Teens 4 Pink Workshop

On Friday, September 26, 2014, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Walter E. Convention Center for the Health & Wellness Teens 4 Pink workshop during the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation 44th Annual Legislative Weekend. Karen Jackson, CEO of Sisters Network Inc. spoke with attendees about the national program for teens to promote breast cancer awareness. Teens 4 Pink is based on a concept originally created by Jackson that is designed to educate Teen, girls ages 12-16, about the importance of breast health and equip them to become breast health ambassadors/leads for the women in their families. Some in attendance were Regina Hall, Judge Fredricka Allen, Melissa Baldwin, Congressman Al Green, and Dr. Shirley McKellar.
