CBC 2014 Fundamental Physics of Ferroe’s Dyslexia and Bullying

On Thursday, September 25, 2014, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. for the Fundamental Physics of Ferroe’s Dyslexia and Bullying: Stories of Overcoming the Odds to Succeed discussion during the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation 44th Annual Legislative Weekend . Congresswoman Jackson Lee and the Yale Center for Dyslexia & Creativity Multicultural Initiative (YCDC) invited 2014 Congressional Black Caucus’ Annual Legislative Conference attendees to participate in a 2-hour discussion to raise awareness on Dyslexia. An interactive conversation was held on how a lack of dyslexia awareness, resources for early detection of dyslexia, and access to training and resources to aid children with dyslexia to become good students. The discussion was moderated by Jeffery Johnson with panelists Nelsan Ellis, Ambassador Carol Moseley Braun, Dr. Taylor Danille, Dr. Keith Magee, and Kisha I. Webster.
