2014 Lyndon Baines Johnson Moral Courage Award Dinner

On Thursday, May 29, 2014, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Hilton Americas-Houston as the Holocaust Museum Houston presented the 2014 Lyndon Baines Johnson Moral Courage Award Dinner. The Holocaust Museum Houston established the Lyndon Baines Johnson Moral Courage Award in memory of the 36th president of the United States. Under the theme “A Dream of Hope, Love, and Humanity, the following were honored civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and Holocaust survivor and human rights activist Gerda Weissmann Klein. Martin Luther King, III accepted the award on behalf of his father. U.S. Rep. John Lewis will present the keynote address. Some in attendance were Congressman Al Green, Rev. William A. Lawson, Rev. Kirbyjon Calswell, City Councilman Al Green, Mayor Annise Parker, Melanie Lawson, Harry E. Johnson, Sr., Crystal Ashby, David Solomon, Regina Rogers, Shawn Taylor, J. Kent Friedman, Shara Fryer, Rabbi David Lyon, Mark Mucasey, Luci Johnson, and Kelly Zuniga.
