Black Media Mixer

Photography by Vicky Pink - On Thursday, January 9, 2014, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at Ellen Raye’s Creole Restaurant for the Black Media Holiday Mixer. Hosted by Houston Forward Times, Houston Association of Black Journalists, and Advantage Communication Consultants, the affair was opportunity for Black media pioneers who have paved the way for black broadcasters and journalists in the Houston area to mingle with the next generation of journalists. Some in attendance were Todd Smith, Jerome Solomon, Nakia Cooper, DaNeshia Bell, Jo-Carolyn Goode, Melanie Lawson, Demond Fernandez, Ralph Cooper, Lloyd Gite, Karen Carter Richards, and Linda K. Brown.
