6th Annual Diamonds and Pearls Mother’s Day Awards Celebration

Photography by Vicky Pink - On Sunday, May 12, 2013, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Marriott Hotel-Galleria for the 6th Annual Diamonds and Pearls Mother’s Day Awards Celebration. Fox 26’s Isiah Carey emceed the pink and brown affair that benefitted Young Life. Annually, the inter-faith, non-political, multi-cultural event recognizes the invaluable contribution mothers make to the future success and happiness of children and society. This year Mrs. Eva Bailey better know as "MIMI" was honored with the 2013 Humanitarian Diamond Award. Mrs. LaTosha Fraley was also an honoree. Humanitarian, mentor, author, inventor and professional athlete Jonathan Bender served as this year’s celebrity guest. Other special guests were Gerra’ L. Gistand, Tatiyana Smith, Walter McDonald Jr., Latisha Lewis, Jasmine Meeks, Lynn Page, and
CEO Yvette Adams of Diamonds & Pearls Mother's Day Gala.
